    you may want to contact the NADA (national automobile dealers’ association) or the direct marketing association (dma)- either of these trade groups might have that info- in general, any response around 3-4% is considered very good for direct mail. a big ticket item like an automobile purchase (not just a test drive) would probably be much smaller.
