  1. Yes, craftsmanship is a dying trait in our trade, as are the excellent bennies + pay. Almost zero formal training & apprentships (job security for ME, though!) We can’t go back though.. There are still elements of creativeness in running a big press that are extremely satisfying.

  2. Back then respect was automaticly given to the ‘craftsmen’. I don’t see that in today’s world anymore, yet we produce higher quality and 80 times faster as back then in 1947.
    Compensation was loyal and a printer could feed his wife and five children royaly. Bring back those good old days please.
