   Title the essay “Why People Laugh” and go from there.

   Here is a joke to help you.

   A lawyer lies dying, his partner of 40 years by his bedside. “Jack, I’ve got to confess. I’ve been sleeping with your wife for 30 years and I’m the father of your daughter, Hillary. On top of that, I’ve been stealing from the firm for a decade.”

   “Relax,” says Jack, “and don’t think another thing about it. I’m the one who put arsenic in your martini.”

   Humor: something with the ability to be comical or amusing….
   You could do the paper on people with the ability to act for example:
   I Love Lucy, or do it on a theme like funny animals: two squirrels trying to get a feeder open (my moms backyard has about 5 feeders) these two squirrels were trying to get the feeder open over a period of several days and they were quite big and pretty greedy from the sounds of it .
   My mom went and bought a new one that they were unable to open so they tipped it over and each one took a turn rolling it while the other was eating the stuff that spilled out (actually filling their little cheeks with the food) everytime they rolled the feeder….so my mom got another new one and they would bang it with rocks and sticks but it was bolted to the wood it sits on….and after they had tried to move, shake, break, the feeder and finally just sat there and ate their fill….they took off and a smaller tiny squirrel came out and went up to the feeder and it fit underneath the hood so it sat in the middle of the feeder eating all the goodies while the other ones were outside looking at it on the inside : ) hope you like that! My mom could barely tell me the story she was laughing so hard….LOL1&2
