The Hayabusa is the only bike that you ride to drag race and run under 10 sec 1/4 mile. Do the twisties for hours with the super sport bikes all in one day with out wearing out the rider. I know I do it all of the time. That makes the Hayabusa the best and most versatile motorcycle ever.

i have a 2006 hayabusa with F.M.F slip-ons and had it remapped.Its my 4th motorcycle.Also owned a 1999 V-Max,Totally love the Hayabusa for the mean streets of Houston Texas.Police officers dont understand that speed will save your life on a motocycle.Been riding since 1984.Love the weight of the bike especially on windy days in traffic with lots of 18 wheeler traffic causing turbulance.I also drive a 18 wheeler for a living.Bikes and trucks have a common enemy=4 wheelers

and how many of u assholes that say the bikes to heavy to handle well have actually ridden one? the bike is awesome in every category, ive had three a 2000 a 2003 and a 2008 and NEVER had to do anything to them except tires and oil changes.

It’s a well made, sought after engine that has been turbocharged and used in motorcycle drag racing. Also, kit car builders use the stock motor in cars.

My 2003 Busa has 35,000 miles on it, and runs just as smooth as the day I bought it. Any motor can have problems, but it is just as reliable as any other motorcycle engine.

There aren’t any recalls or maintenance issues with it, even when run at top speeds.

-It has a long wheelbase for more stability, yet less manueverability.
-it is heavier than most bikes, nealry 500 lbs
-A 1.3L engine generates a ton of angular momentum, acting like a gyroscope, making the bike even more difficult to turn., yet more stable at speed.
