   if you want to be technicalNorton is a French, Triumph is a German, Harley Davidson is British,correct me if i’m wrong, Norton was started by a Frenchmen who moved to the UK, Triumph by a German immigrant to the UK and Harley Davidson was started by sons of English and Scottish immigrants to America. Harley is an American motorcycle company as the parent company is there, designed and built in American,manifacturers including Japaness motorcycle companies buy parts from all around the world .

   I think you misunderstood my statement– DON’T try to sell ME a H-D based on some FALSE CLAIM they are 100% USA built bikes– because they really aren’t.
   Are modern Harleys well built? Absolutely. VERY nicely made, great finish and detail. Torquey engines, fun to ride– greatly overpriced on performance vs price though.
   Is the engineering World Class?
   Again, I would say NO. Even the much hyped Vrod engine in this video is a dinosaur on the world stage.
   H-D needs new blood to compete.

    Sort of sad that H-D continually plays the patriot card.Viewed in that context, it is shameful how much offshore content these “American LEGENDS” are built from.
    Notice I DID NOT say “Made in the USA” . (The FTC caught on and prohibited H-D from that claim).
    Harley has grown from a real American bike– to a brand which largely relies on nostalgia and blind loyalty to stay alive. WISH they would hire a few forward thinking engineers who would give this marque something they sorely NEED.
