I was interviewing to work at a Benefit counter and I dont like to wear alot of makeup. But it was funny because she was trying to sell me and tell me what I needed me being a certified master makeup artist and experience on televison and film, I know how to do makeup. I generally just wear a wash of color on my lid, lip gloss, and mascara, and blush. I dont like to wear foundation or anything on my face, I been blessed with nice skin and just dont like to wear it. As I get older when I wear alot think it makes me look older. But she was admit on me trying a tinted moisturizer if I wear anything that is it, but their tinted moisturizer was too heavy for me. She also tried the light bright and I liked it, I would add to my kit to use as a highlighter to the inner rim of the eye, so I would suggest it. View my web site at http://www.naloinc.com

This is really a great product, and I will probably buy another when I start to run out.

I was sooooo disappointed with the Benefit Cosmetics Eye Bright pencil. The claims do not live up to its perfomance. First of all, I find the too pale pink color on the chalky side. This product has received raves from makeup artist Carmindy of tv show “What Not To Wear”. The concept of a light pink concealer canceling out dark shadows seems like a good idea, however, this shade is far too pale (I’m very fair and it looks whitish). I have not tried to sharpen it yet, but based on other reviews here it sounds like I’m in for a nightmare. The price ($20) is outrageous as it does not live up to its claims, but then Benefit’s products are all overpriced – even the ones that perform well. I recommend the pencil by Judith August (The Everything Pencil in Pink Glow). While it’s not cheap either (it’s $15) at least it does what it claims to do.

While I do like the final result of this product, the pencil makes it a little more difficult to use and blend. I think it would be brilliant if it came in a more liquid form! I think with a little more practice, I will get better at application. All in all, I do like the natural, not too light, just nice and bright look it gives under my eyes.

Eye Bright is a fat creamy pencil that delivers a cool icy pink shimmery color. If you have very pinky undertones it is ok to use on the waterline to brighten the eyes or the inner corner. I have had mine for a long time and I rarely use it because a) I think it is a bit too pink on me, b) the pencil is chalky so sometimes it goes on and leaves an uneven chunky line, and c) it is so fat that it doesn’t fit in any of my sharpeners so I have to sharpen it with a knife and I find that annoying.

Based on some of the reviews it sounds like people are using this on their lower lids. While that would indeed reflect light I can’t imagine how that would look at all natural given the consistency of this pencil. Maybe I got a bad one?

If you plan to be photographed, I’d like to recommend against using this or any shimmery pencil because it will reflect white which might look strange. Of course if that is the effect you are going for then no worries necessary.
