Do you use a lot of nail polish? I used to and found my nails didn’t grow too well when I did.

Biting, chewing, and tearing fingernails can stunt there growth.

Do you bite down on your nails?

If this is so, they make special nail polishes that taste so gross, you won’t want to be within a foot of them.

    Are you getting your vitamins?

If you want faster growing nails, be sure that your diet is rich in Vitamins A, B-Complex, C, D, E and iron, calcium, zinc, sulfur, and the essential fatty acids.

For Vitamin A, look for fruits that are yellow and orange or veggies that are dark green.
For Vitamin C, chop up some green and red peppers
For Vitamin D, look to your dairy products.
For Vitamin E, a supplement is your best option.
For zinc, options include kidney beans, rice, chicken or cheese

First, make sure you are eating a healthy, well balanced diet. Sometimes weak nails can mean a deficiency. You may also want to start taking vitamin E .Second get you some of that nail polish that strengthens your nails. You can find it at any drug or department store.

For a more natural way to help your nails grow, you can use a moisturizing cuticle oil, and massage it in gently once or twice daily. The moisturizing helps your nails remain more flexible, and the gentle massage of the cuticle can stimulate nail growth. The best oil is a product called TIPS, available at askcosmetics.com or on various televised shopping channels.

    Vitamin E is great..

The girl who said not to wear nail polish is wrong. Contrary to popular belief, nails do not “breathe”

If you bit your nails as a child, it ends up damaging your nails/nail bed which will cause them to take longer to grow. ( I bit my nails constantly until I went to cosmetology school for nail technology)

Another great thing is Green Tea…I love Liptons Green tea, and because of all the great ingredients, it made my nails gro extemely fast!! It also made my hair shinier!

My best advice to make sure youre eating a balanced diet, not biting your nails, or picking at them, and you should be fine! Taking a daily multi-vitamin is also great!
