Make a point of remembering some detail about a few of the guests staying at your hotel. Then when you see them again, you can bring it up. For example, Mrs. Marple mentions that she’s in town visiting her nephew. The next morning you see her in the lobby and you stop and ask how her nephew is doing. All people like to be remembered. What you don’t want to do is to say something like “hope you enjoy your stay” after the person told you they were in town to attend a funeral.

People like to be called by their names.

Treat them like they are a guest at your own home.

Treat people the way that you want to be treated.

Think of a bad experience that you have had and think of what they should have done instead of what they did…

Be polite and friendly. Listen to what they have to say. Always make eye contact….
