Networking is establishing relationships with people who can help you on a personal or professional level where the relationship established will be a win-win relationship.

For example: I meet someone who fixes major appliances and I am a realtor. This person can help me fix appliances in homes I sell (for my sellers) and he makes money from the extra business and the sell price is maintained or grows in cost because the appliances are all working.
